This class is for those who have some working knowledge of firearms but have only limited pistol skills.
Students will learn the “5 Basic Tenants of Firearms Safety,” how to draw their firearm from a holster, proper stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control and follow through. Drawing a firearm from a holster will be introduced in this course.
All components will be taught dry before being applied to live fire with hands-on guidance from the instructors. We will repeat many of the drills taught in Level 1 and continue the building block process of how you shoot. The only way to get better is simple repetition.
Students will shoot approximately 200 rounds of ammunition during the 2.5-hour class. The instructors will demonstrate individual aspects of the skills taught, working one-on-one with students to confirm that the concepts are understood and applied correctly.
Equipment Requirements
- Properly functioning firearm
- Outside-the-waistband, belt-clip-style holster
- Eye and ear protection
- High collar shirt (No V-Necks Please)
- Closed-toed shoes
- Pants with pockets and a sturdy belt. No Yoga Pants allowed
- 200 rounds of ammunition
