Level 5: Concealed Carry

Cost: $200

Course Length: 3 Hours

This class is for those who have a good working knowledge of their pistol AND have completed the Level 3 “Intermediate Pistol” class.

Instructors will reinforce the “5 Basic Tenants of Firearms Safety” before delving into the shooting portion of the class. Safe drawing from concealment is paramount, and drills will teach students how to safely draw their firearm from concealed places on their person.

Additionally, students will learn how to draw from overtly and discretely concealment. The main idea will be to avoid a confrontation… but sometimes that is not possible. With that in mind, students will also work on threat-based shooting, one-handed shooting, moving off of the X, and shooting multiple targets.  Shooting from behind cover and from the ground at a point of disadvantage will also be taught.  During this class, some fully clothed 3D body targets will be used to add realism and context to the training.  The techniques in this class transfer over to getting caught in an active shooter situation.  Points will be made in class on how to respond to an active shooter depending on the situation you find yourself in.

This is an advanced course for a reason.

Participants will shoot approximately 250-300 rounds of ammunition during the 3-hour class. The instructors will demonstrate individual aspects of the skills taught, working one-on-one with students to confirm that the concepts are understood and appropriately applied (as well as ensuring safety measures are in place).
