Level 3: Intermediate Pistol

A Participant in the Level Three Intermediate Course learns to effectively discharge his pistol from behind cover.

Cost: $150

Course Length: 2.5 Hours

This class is for those who have a good working knowledge of their pistol but want to improve their accuracy and weapon-handling skills.  You must have completed Level 2 (Basic Pistol) or be able to prove your ability to handle these pistol skills to the instructor prior to taking the class.

Instructors will reinforce the “5 Basic Tenants of Firearms Safety” before delving into the shooting portion of the class. Drills will rehash how to draw firearms from a holster, proper stance, grip, sight alignment, sight picture, trigger control and follow through.

Students will also work on individual marksmanship drills, proper procedures for reloading, movement to limit threat exposure, checking your six, immediate action drills for malfunctions, and shooting multiple targets.   Skills will be drilled repeatedly to ensure mastery.

Students will shoot approximately 250 rounds of ammunition during the 2.5-hour class.  The instructors will demonstrate individual aspects of the skills taught, working one-on-one with students to confirm that the concepts are understood and applied correctly (as well as ensuring safety measures are in place).
